Hello Kings Peak Community,
I just wanted to reach out and say thank you so much for your participation in the food drive we recently completed. It seriously was humbling to see the amount of excitement, time, and support our students, staff, and parents put in while participating in the drive. One of the reasons I love this holiday season is because it helps us remember the people that have served us, and gives us an extra idea of people we, in return can help. The food and hygiene donations will certainly help our community. Thank you for teaching your kids the meaning of service. Having your kids participate in events like the food drive will serve them well throughout their lives.
Combined with the other elementaries in Roosevelt we were able to donate 4084 pounds of food! That is amazing. Thank You for making that happen. Attached is a picture of the grateful tree our students at KPES have been working on here at school! It has been fun to see the excitement and read all the things our students are grateful for this season. From our Kings Peak family to yours, we hope you all enjoy your families wherever it maybe this holiday season. And one last thank you for raising your kids that teach us as a faculty, more than we can ever teach them. 

In the spirit of building unity and friendship among the whole first grade we went on a fun little adventure to the beautiful nature park. During this time kids from all 4 first grade classes participated in an alphabet themed nature walk and enjoyed some much needed bonding time with their classmates.

Kindergarten had a great first week of school. They went on a cookie hunt to explore our school. They have been learning their colors. They read a fun story and learned about germs. They had their very first fire drill, and had their very first assembly. It is going to be a great year with this fun group of kids.
